The Challenge: Creating Premium Packaging for a Christmas Fragrance Collection

For fragrance brands, Advent calendars offer an opportunity to present multiple products in a single seasonal gift set. The packaging needs to do more than hold the products: it should create a memorable unboxing experience while maintaining the premium character of the brand.

For this project, the French client required a custom Advent calendar that combined an elegant exterior with a practical internal layout. The packaging also needed to support the next stage of the process: shipping individual calendars to the brand’s customers.

This meant considering both the presentation of the finished product and the practical requirements of preparing each unit for dispatch.

Our Approach: Custom Rigid Packaging and Internal Compartments

DST-Pack developed a packaging solution around a rigid cardboard box with a magnetic closure. This construction provides a solid, premium feel and creates a clean presentation suitable for a luxury fragrance collection.

The exterior was finished with gold foil stamping, adding a refined decorative detail to the design. The deep blue colour and gold typography create a distinctive seasonal presentation while keeping the overall appearance elegant and understated.

Inside the calendar, individual compartments were made from 400 gsm paper. The compartments feature an open-top construction, allowing the products to be accessed from above.

Before mass production began, a sample was prepared and approved by the client. This allowed the packaging concept to be reviewed before proceeding with the full order of 2,000 units.

The Final Solution: A Premium Advent Calendar Ready for Individual Shipping

The finished packaging combined several elements designed to work together:
