In 2020, a US brand contacted DST-Pack to develop and produce a new custom wedding Advent calendar for their brand.

The packaging was inspired by the structure of a traditional Advent calendar but adapted specifically for a wedding-related concept.

The client wanted to test the new packaging concept in the market before committing to full-scale production, so they placed an initial order of only 200 units.

The Challenge

The client had difficulty finding a manufacturer in the US that could produce such a small quantity.

Most local manufacturers required a higher minimum order quantity (MOQ), making it difficult to test the concept without committing to a large production run.

DST-Pack was able to offer a solution for the 200-unit test order while maintaining the premium quality required for the project.

The Packaging Solution

DST-Pack developed a custom wedding Advent calendar featuring nine individual internal boxes.

The main structure was produced from 400 GSM paperboard and designed in a book-style format with a single folding door.

The client wanted a substantial amount of gold foil incorporated into the design, so we applied extensive gold foil finishing to create a premium appearance suitable for the wedding concept.

Designed for Market Testing

The client specifically wanted to test the wedding Advent calendar concept before moving to full-scale production.

Producing an initial batch of only 200 units allowed the brand to introduce the packaging to the market, evaluate customer response, and determine whether a larger production run would be commercially viable.

This was particularly important because the client had been unable to find a suitable manufacturer willing to produce such a small quantity.

Production & Delivery

After finalizing the custom structure and artwork, DST-Pack proceeded with production of the 200-unit batch.

Despite the relatively small order quantity, we were able to manufacture the custom packaging and deliver the finished products to the United States on schedule.

The Result

DST-Pack successfully produced 200 custom wedding Advent calendars for the US brand, giving them the opportunity to test the concept without committing to a large production order.

The final packaging combined nine internal boxes, 400 GSM paperboard, a book-style structure, and extensive gold foil finishing to create a distinctive premium wedding packaging concept.
